Joe Hubbard is a native of Kansas City, Missouri.
Mr. Hubbard is a former member of "The President's Own" United States Marine Band in Washington, D.C. http://www.marineband.marines.mil which is responsible for musical support of the White House and affairs dictated via the President of the United States and the Commandant of the Marine Corps.
Mr. Hubbard has a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Central Methodist University and a Master of Arts in Music degree from The Conservatory of Music and Dance at the University of Missouri - Kansas City. Mr. Hubbard has over 37 years of teaching and performance experience. He is the recipient of Central Methodist University's Certificate of Recognition in Achievement Award, and Rotary International's Excellence in Education Award.
Mr. Hubbard is a member of The International Clarinet Association, North American Saxophone Alliance, and National Association for Music Education.
Mr. Hubbard's private students consistently receive superior ratings at district and state solo competitions and consistently hold principle chairs in such ensembles as: Youth Symphony, All-District and All-State Band, John Philip Sousa Honor Band, Bands of America/Music for All, and many regional honor bands such as the University of Kansas' Prairie Winds Festival, and the University of Missouri-Kansas City's Midwest Honor Band Festival. Mr. Hubbard has also had students perform with the National Honor Band, and as student finalists and soloists with the "Young Artist's Competition" of both the Kansas City Symphony and Topeka (KS) Symphony. Many of Mr. Hubbard's students have gone on to pursue music careers as educators and performers from such institutions as: Indiana University-Jacobs School of Music; USC-Thornton School of Music; Northwestern University-Bienen School of Music; NYU-Steinhardt School of Music, New England Conservatory of Music, and Boston's Berklee College of Music, among many state universities.

Joe and his wife have been married since 1983, and have three adult children. In the summer of 2017, Joe and his wife are relocating to Virginia.
